The 8 Gopis who are foremost dearest to and most beloved friends of Radha.  These Ashta Sakhis with Radha-Krishna is seen in a temple in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, India.  

The Ashta Sakhis display the zenith of spiritual love for Radha and Krishna.  

The inspiration to do this artwork were the beautiful rich looking statues of the Ashta Sakhis adorned with precious stones and gem works.  I have captured this beautiful scene with the richness using the technique of Tanjore style art.  I have used Oil & Acrylic colors and stones (Tanjore style jewelry) to add to its beauty 

The 8 Sakhis with their expressions also provides divinity to this art.
