Lord Vishnu is the 2nd God in the Triumvirate (Trimurti) of the Gods in Hindu religion. He is the Preserver and Protector of the universe. His role is to return to the earth in troubled times and restore the balance of Good and Evil.

Lord Vishnu is one of the principal deities in Hinduism.  In this artwork, he holds a couch in the upper left hand, a chakra in the upper right hand, Ghada (Mallet or Blunt mace) in his lower left hand and Lotus in lower right hand (also a gift giving gesture called the Vardamudra).
